The Streets Are Ours

They built their towers in the sky,
And told us all to walk in line.
But every wall begins to crack,
When the people take it back.

You can’t cage the rising sound,
Truth is marching, justice bound.

The streets are ours, the night is long,
But in the dark we’re burning strong.
Raise your fists, raise your eyes,
See the dawn begin to rise.
The streets are ours, we won’t kneel,
Every wound is how we heal.
No retreat, no lies, no scars —
We are change — the streets are ours!

They own the gold, they write the news,
But they can’t silence what we choose.
From every corner, every town,
The people’s thunder’s shaking ground.

You can’t buy what can’t be sold,
Freedom’s voice is loud and bold.

The streets are ours, the night is long,
But in the dark we’re burning strong.
Raise your fists, raise your eyes,
See the dawn begin to rise.
The streets are ours, we won’t kneel,
Every wound is how we heal.
No retreat, no lies, no scars —
We are change — the streets are ours!

From the whispers to the roar,
We are knocking on the door.
No more waiting, no disguise,
Truth is written in our eyes.

The streets are ours, our hearts are wide,
We’re the turning of the tide.
From the shadows, from the pain,
We are fire in the rain.
The streets are ours, we won’t fall,
We are millions — we are all.
Raise your voices near and far —
We are freedom — the streets are ours!
