U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened legal action against BBC for its broadcast of an edited version of his January 6, 2021 speech in the documentary episode of Panorama. The broadcaster admitted that the way the speech was cut gave the impression of a direct call for violent action, which he claims damaged his reputation. The controversy led to the resignations of the BBC’s Director-General Tim Davie and News CEO Deborah Turness.
