Moving the Goal Posts
All too often, when you win an argument against fools, they’ll simply move the goal posts — either further apart, closer together, or in whichever direction keeps them from losing face.
It’s the oldest trick in the book: when the facts no longer fit their story, they change the story.
And it’s happening again now — with the false allegations against John Wanoa, accusing him of being a scammer.
At first, the claim was that a man named Jason Warr had bought a share in John’s project. But when that was investigated, it turned out to be completely false. Jason himself confirmed he never bought a share.
So what happened next?
The goal posts were moved.
Suddenly, the story shifted. Now, apparently, it was Danny Jones who bought a share — supposedly to prove the scheme was a scam.
Think about that. The same Danny Jones who called up his mate working at Heathrow Airport to block John Wanoa from entering the UK — sabotaging the very event that would have launched the share issue — now claims to have “bought” a share to show it was fraudulent.
It’s absurd. It’s like setting fire to a bakery and then complaining there’s no bread.
And now, to make matters even more farcical, Angela Power Disney has been dragged into the narrative. The latest twist claims that she bought a share.
Strange, isn’t it? Because no shares were ever issued — the entire operation was shut down before it could begin, sabotaged by the same self-appointed critics who now cry “scam!”
It’s painfully clear that these people don’t understand how shares work.
You don’t “buy a share” and watch it magically turn into money. That’s not how finance, investment, or reality operate. But that’s the level of discourse we’re dealing with — where emotion trumps evidence, and moving the goal posts has become the default strategy for people who refuse to admit they’re wrong.
The truth doesn’t change just because they keep shifting the posts.
And no matter how far they move them, they’ll never score a goal built on lies.
