Why Decline to Sign?

Independent registered voters do not associate themselves with the Republican Party or the Democrat party. Therefore, they have made their choice not to engage in the Democrat or Republican Primary Election process. The Republican and the Democrat parties are polar opposites in their beliefs. State Question (SQ) 836 will allow Democrat candidates to hide behind the California style primary voting process. Declined to sign SQ 836 so Democrat and Republican candidates and their beliefs will be out front for all of Oklahoma voters to see and to select the best person to govern our state.
