We Can't Afford the Wealthy

Richard Murphy offers both a logical assessment of the current cause of Britain's economic turmoil, and a set of equally logical moves that "could" turn around the imbalance that has squeezed so much of the population. My take is a bit simpler, and guaranteed to not happen. That is the Biblical model of living. From the outset, the model of life was that your neighbor's welfare is your first, not last, concern. By extension, this explains the warning against USURY. To lend to your neighbor was your duty if his circumstances warranted it. There is repayment expected, but with NO INCREASE. That means no interest. This is the antithesis of capitalism. It's not communism, nor socialism, nor any other assorted cluster of 'isms'. It's a moral approach that puts compassion far above personal prosperity.
