New York politicians, including democratic socialist Zohran Kwame Mamdani, mayor-elect of New York City, traveled to Puerto Rico for the annual Somos conference.

Zohran Mamdani received a rousing welcome at the mosque Centro Islamico Del Caribe -Masjid Ebadur Rahman in San Juan.

At the mosque there were pro-Palestine boricuas with the Palestinian flag.
