During World War 2, Germany fashioned an intricately designed coding machine to encrypt their messages. It was used by all branches of the German military with over 150 quintillion possibilities for each message, they were supremely confident in the ability of their Enigma machine.

Thankfully, Allied forces cracked the code, resulting in massive amounts of intelligence that undoubtedly saved lives and hastened the end of World War 2.

Today, these devices are incredibly rare. This example, notable for its exceptional completeness and high condition, will be available this December at Rock Island Auction Company.
