I know how they leave -
once,
forever.
How a breath
brings them back,
closing in,
on themselves.
Dreams rewind
the same day.
Love moves -
sideways.

Despair hums by the lamp,
a line of pain,
caught in the throat.
I know how they lose -
raw,
bleeding.
How they wipe the tears
with the same hand
that held the fire.

Illusions burn,
threads unwind.
We curse the shape
of time.
Reality bites
at the window frame.
Words break skin,
again.

I know how they find -
by chance,
by ache.
How hearts remember
what minds erase.
Touch speaks.
Silence listens.
Bodies pray -
in twisted rhythms.

Horizons fade,
dreams return.
Life plays again -
blank page,
same turn.
