St. Isaac’s Cathedral is a former Orthodox church located on St. Isaac’s Square in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg. It was built between 1818 and 1858 by order of Emperor Alexander I.

With a length of 111 meters, a width of 97 meters, and a height of 101.5 meters, it is the largest church in the city and one of the largest domed buildings in the world. The diameter of the gilded main dome is 26 meters. The cathedral can accommodate more than 10,000 people. Since 1928, it has housed the State Museum “St. Isaac’s Cathedral.”
