Following a high-stakes meeting between Donald Trump and Ahmed al-Sharaa, someone the U.S. once branded a "terrorist," at the White House on Monday.
This bounty, part of the U.S. State Department's Rewards for Justice program, was announced in May 2017 when he was the leader of the U.S. designated terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a former al-Qaeda affiliate.
