The U.S. Ambassador to the UN had the uniquely awkward job of defending a policy that 165 nations just voted against. As he launched into his speech, filled with the usual talking points, something amazing happened: he was officially called out for his rude and arrogant manner, right in the middle of the General Assembly. It turns out that when you're making things up on the world's biggest stage, someone might just have the nerve to point of order you into silence. A beautiful moment of diplomatic karma for the history books.
