For context: Bishop Strickland served as Bishop of the Diocese of Tyler in Texas from 2012 until November 11, 2023, when Pope Francis removed him from the pastoral governance of the diocese. The Vatican announced his removal without giving a detailed public explanation; the removal followed an apostolic visitation to the diocese. Media outlets describe that he risks excommunication due to his public criticism of Pope Francis and his strong conservative positions (including allegations of undermining the Deposit of Faith). I'm not endorsing him directly; I only learned of him two days ago, but I am completely endorsing what he is saying in this Twitter post. This should be heard by everyone, Christian or not, Catholic or otherwise!
