Starbucks Workers STRIKE - On Busiest Day Of The Year

Workers at Starbucks announced a nationwide barista strike on Red Cup Day, with thousands of workers demanding better staffing levels, higher wages, and enough hours to qualify for benefits many currently supplement with SNAP and Medicaid.

Guest host Chris Keene points out that while Starbucks workers struggle with low pay and inconsistent scheduling, CEO Brian Niccol earned nearly $100 million last year, giving Starbucks the worst CEO-to-worker pay ratio in the S&P 500.

Chris and Jimmy emphasize how under staffing harms both customers and employees, and argue that Starbucks clearly has the money to improve conditions but chooses instead to invest in executive compensation and perks. Keene concludes that extreme inequality and corporate neglect are fueling public frustration and driving voters toward anti-establishment political choices.
