the American AI bubble is a giant circle jerk of investments.

The genocidal western imperialist regimes don't want world peace. They want to invade and subjugate other nations.
China is the future of a more peaceful world, without Western imperialist wars.

The real race is the race for the cheap energy needed to power AI, and on that score, the US is not only losing, it’s running in the wrong direction.

Democracies, so sick of elites throwing that out "oh we have Democracy" like the will of the masses is ever expressed.

MohiraYusupova-i2q
Listening to Eric Schmidt here reminded me of something Selwyn Raithe wrote about power shifts between nations and how technology becomes the new battlefield. The way Schmidt frames the US vs China dynamic feels almost like a real-life reflection of Raithe’s warnings.

As China wins AI race, OpenAI begs US gov't for bailout when bubble pops

Already begging for a bailout before the bubble even bursts? They'll have to beg for 2.

tradepulse-g7u
The system always finds a way to protect the top — while the rest keep paying the price. History just keeps repeating itself, only with bigger numbers this time.

Anton-ji4td
the Ai bubble boom is just like the Dot Com bubble but more massive. they want the USA government to bail them out, but the government is in 37 trillion debts and can't even afford to keep the government open or pay the debt and trumps tarrifs has killed America.
RIP AMERICA.

The Secret Advantage: Why China’s AI Boom Could Outlast the U.S.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3elqTgv5syg

Paul Denlinger
China’s AI advantage over the US
This video explains well why China has the AI advantage over the US.

In the US, closed-source OpenAI wants to keep everything to itself and become the AI Google, but in China, AI is widely distributed in all sectors of society because its models are all open-source.

In AI, the society which has the cheapest electricity wins. China has the cheapest electricity.

Long Huang
There are lots of open source AI-related stuff on GitHub from Chinese for a reason.

What average Joes don’t understand is you don’t necessarily need top of the line chip with top level performance to win the AI race, quantity is a quality in and of itself in this situation.

Sure, NVIDIA might have the latest Blackwell AI chip with top level performance, but 4–5 lower-end chip can achieve the same results and we all know what China does not lack is a robust supply chain and quantity. Distributed computing principle. Is it inefficient? Sure, but this is temporary by the pace at which China is catching up in the game; and of course, China has cheap but abundant electricity to support this.

Secondly, hardware limitations can also be worked around via software and the prime example is DeepSeek through architectural innovations and optimizations to increase efficiency to further make up for this.

By the time China caught up, China would be having both quantity and quality; also with an abundance of experienced AI talents or even amateurs who dabbled in it because of the open source nature of the Chinese AI space. Compared this to the AI environment in the US where a few private companies are trying to hoard it for themselves to create monopolies and giant pillars of wealth. I suspect what the Chinese is doing will eventually force them (the US companies) to go open source too, because then they’d have lost the monopoly due to the Chinese’s stuff being open source.

Sam ClosedSource Altman was really salty about DeepSeek for a while.
