This event occured at 7:18 AM CT on 15 November 2025. A very strong signal was picked up from both the Sault Ste. Maries (SSM), Ontario, TV analog channel 2 (CHBX-TV) carrier, and the Thunderbay, Ontario, TV digital channel 2 (CKPR-TV) carrier. Those frequencies were monitored in this particular setup at the time. The left window is Thunderbay, the right one is SSM. Thunderbay is located to the west of SSM. The antenna of this setup points in the general direction of both stations, NNE.

Of note is that the Thunderbay signal has the characteristic head echo signature, associated with the rapid decelaration of an object entering the atmosphere, while the SSM does not. This suggests the object entered the atmosphere from the west moving eastward. Thunderbay caught the initial break-up, while SSM caught most of what was left behind after the break-up.

As to what exactly enterend the atmosphere, it is likely either a large meteor, or space debris. Similar strong signals of this type have been seen before. Check some of the older videos.

This happened during daylight hours. If it had happened at night we would possibly have had some meteor sighting reports. Feel free to provide constructive comments and genuine questions.
