Why Am I Still So Worried About Christmas?

Do you ever feel anxious trying to create the “perfect” Christmas? I know that feeling well. In this final installment of my holiday survival series, I talk about the pressure to make every moment flawless and remind myself and others that real peace does not come from perfect plans. It comes from God’s love. Reflecting on what we have learned over the past 30 days about setting limits, creating structure, and living with purpose, I encourage us to trade perfectionism for peace, performance for presence, and anxiety for gratitude. I close with a prayer for calm hearts and a reminder that a meaningful Christmas is one centered on trust, not control.

Last week, in Episode 333, “Are You Worshipping the God of Entitlement?”, I challenged us to move from an attitude of entitlement to one of gratitude, reminding us that true freedom comes when we focus on God as our provider. Building on that message, this episode invites us to rest in what we have learned, release the pressure to do it all, and rediscover the joy of simply being present.
