Vril, or Parasite Infestation?

These are the vril they insert into the victim's eyeball. The victim then slowly transforms into a Reptilian.

I am not sure if these are Vril, a species of Reptilian. From my understanding only one Vril is inserted and its proboscis wraps around the optic nerve before it takes over the body. This may be just parasite infestation? I am not sure, perhaps someone can enlighten me?
