Forces Beyond the Visible

The electromagnetic spectrum includes a vast range of wavelengths, from radio waves to gamma rays, but the human eye is only sensitive to a narrow band called visible. Waves outside this visible range, such as infrared, ultraviolet, microwaves, X-rays, and others, do not stimulate the photoreceptor cells in our retinas, rendering them invisible to us.
