Sunday Afternoon Preaching on Jesus the Christ
November 16 2025

Objective: that the brethren appreciate the Lord Jesus coming and performing his role

Intro:
Define – raise/up, prophet, promise, christ/messiah
Background of 3 chapter leading up to this.

How can we be assured that the Promised Prophet is Jesus and none else?
1. His Coming and ministry is to Perfect us – v.13
a. Relate Hebrews 12:2
2. The Religion of Christ is so opposed to the abominations of Moses’ and our days
3. Jesus is compared to Moses – vv. 15, 18 – “like unto”
a. but better – Heb. 3:1-4
4. Jesus is the mediator between God and man – vv. 16-17
a. 1Timothy 2:5
5. Jesus Authority is Supreme – v.19
a. His word is supreme and people are expected to obey- “all under him” verses
6. Many will try to immitate and conterfeit His person – end times verses
a. We are expected and taught to identify and resist the false teachers – vv. 20-22

Message/conclusion:
Let us appreciate the Lord Jesus coming and performing his role. Love Him and his word, work and ways. Serve and support Him.
