Neon Trees - Everybody Talks

Everybody Talks is the lead single from the second studio album, Picture Show, by American rock band Neon Trees, released on December 20, 2011, as a digital download on iTunes.
The song became a sleeper hit, peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the band's highest-charting single and their first Top 10 hit.
It also reached No. 1 on the Adult Pop Songs chart and No. 7 on the Alternative Songs chart. The track was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, engineered by Greg Collins, mixed by Billy Bush, and mastered by Joe LaPorta.
Inspired by early 1960s pop music, lead singer Tyler Glenn cited influences such as Roy Orbison and Motown, music that his father listened to.
Glenn later revealed in a 2020 Twitter post that he wrote the song while closeted, reflecting on an ex-girlfriend who spread rumors about him being gay.
The song has received generally positive reviews, with PopCrush giving it 4 out of 5 stars and About.com describing it as a track that would appeal to a wide audience.
The live-action music video, released on March 8, 2012, features the band at a 1950s-style drive-in theater watching a fictional movie titled "Zombie Bikers From Hell," where they are attacked by zombie bikers, while a mysterious girl in red sunglasses seduces and consumes male patrons, revealing herself as a vampire.
The animated version of the video was released on January 14, 2012.
