Do Not Sand Your Old Military Surplus Rifles

Sanding and refinishing the stock of an old rifle has been a common practice for a number of years, but I would advise not doing it at all, or if you do, proceed very sparingly so as not to mess up how the wood stock interacts with the metal on your old military surplus rifles.
