The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes, spoken by Yeshua/Jesus the Christ during the Sermon on the Mount, convey profound Blessings that reflect Core Values of the Christian faith.

The original language of these Spiritual teachings was likely Aramaic, with the Gospel of Matthew recording them in Greek. Each Blessing emphasizes virtues such as Humility, Compassion, and a thirst for Righteousness, inviting believers to embody these qualities in their daily Lives.

Practicing the principles found in the Beatitudes can serve as a guideline for living a fulfilling and Blessed life. By recognizing our need for GoD, showing Compassion to others, and striving for Justice, we align ourselves with Divine values. This way of living not only brings personal Peace and fulfillment but also fosters a sense of community and connection with others. Embracing these teachings helps us cultivate a Heart that reflects GoD's love, leading to genuine Blessings in our lives and the lives of those around us.🙏🥰

For Clarity...The term "Blessed," particularly in the context of the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount (found in Matthew 5:3-12), has rich meanings in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

Hebrew: The Hebrew word often translated as "blessed" is "בָּרוּךְ" (baruch). It conveys a sense of being favored by God, showing divine approval or happiness. It implies a state of well-being and prosperity that comes from a relationship with God.

Aramaic: In Aramaic, which was the language spoken by Jesus, the word is likely "ברוך" (barukh), which carries similar meanings of blessedness and favor. It emphasizes the state of being blessed in a spiritual or moral sense.

Greek: In Greek, the term used in the Beatitudes is "μακάριος" (makarios). This word signifies a state of happiness or bliss, often associated with divine favor. It implies a deeper, more spiritual joy that is independent of external circumstances.
