Kelly experienced her first sexual assault at age 13, and unfortunately that was only the first of many bad experiences. She quickly went into a downward spiral of alcoholism, addiction, and a life that had been shattered before it really had a chance to truly begin.

But her Savior had other plans for her. As of now, she is more than 10 years sober. And more than that, she now plays a vital role in helping other women caught in the same destructive cycles that she used to be trapped in. From helping facilitate at Celebrate Recovery to private one-on-one counseling with clients to working with an incredible Christian organization called Bloom in the Dark, Kelly’s story is one of not only incredible redemption, but an example of how God can use what seems broken to actually be the very thing He will use to heal pain and trauma.
