Corshawnda Hatter with sickle cell jumped by kids while protecting her children

Chicago’s Far South Side are furious after a disturbing video went viral showing a mom and her children being jumped by a group of students while walking home from Orville Bright Elementary School. The attack left 33-year-old Carshawnda Hatter and her 9-year-old son hospitalized in serious condition.The video, now seen millions of times, shows Hatter and her kids trying to walk away as a crowd of students follows them, yelling. Moments later, two kids begin punching both the mom and her son before dragging her into the grass kicking her. Hatter says the group was literally waiting along her family’s route home “just to jump all of us.”
