Congress overwhelmingly passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and the Senate is sending it to President Trump—who now says he’ll sign it. But on the same week, Trump ordered a new DOJ investigation into Epstein’s ties to political opponents. That matters because DOJ can use the “active investigation” exception to delay or heavily redact releases.
