I always found this character arc fascinating. This scene is one of the most complex and deep because it deals with resentment and what happens when you finally get what you want. Nothing fulfills the empty void and I actually like the voice actress chosen for Mai Valentine. It captures the lost soul and outsider aspect of the character. Underneath all the anger and frustration always lies a good person. If the person chooses to break free. It comes down to making choices.
