“I allowed a predator into our lives” #notonemorechild

In February 2024, we found out that a man from church had been grooming our child. As we led worship in a church for years, a man in his mid fifties made himself “her best friend, BOYFRIEND, and father all in one” since our daughter was 10 years old.

We first made it public in March and God is wanting us to continue to speak out and bring awareness. This is our original first take sharing the story, more raw and emotional. As parents, it’s beyond painful and as ministers we are mandated to report for the welfare of the public. There is evidence that this man is still grooming children.

I know our daughter feels as if we have betrayed her in sharing this. But there is no way we can withhold information when it comes to the safety of children. She is not the one who should be ashamed. We love her and miss her terribly.
