Showed Up With Keys… But the Tenant Had OTHER Plans 😭💀

😂 Well… this trip did NOT go as planned.

I grabbed the keys, drove over to the property, walked up like normal —
and the keys DID. NOT. WORK.

Why?
Because the tenant changed the locks like it was no big deal.
Sir… you can’t even pay rent on time and now you’re out here doing hardware upgrades?! 😭💀

Let me be crystal clear:
🔐 You CANNOT change locks in a rental without approval.
🔐 It’s in the Lease Agreement.
🔐 It’s standard in Property Management.
🔐 And it’s literally a safety/security issue.

So now it’s:
➡️ Either YOU put the old lock back on
➡️ Or I send someone to re-key it…
➡️ And YOU get charged the lock-change-out fee

Your choice, bud.
But either way, this is a Lease Agreement violation, and it’s getting fixed TODAY.

This is the wild stuff you deal with as a Property Manager:
