Hey everyone, it’s Leaflit here. In today’s video I’m reacting to Decoy Voice’s heavy clip called “Mexico is Done..”, where he exposes how the government in Mexico is deeply compromised by narcotics-terrorism, and how the people are literally rising in protest—fed up with decades of corruption, impunity, and violence. I’m speaking up alongside those protesters: if you’re demanding change without harming innocents, you deserve to be heard.

The truth is, the Mexican government has repeatedly failed its citizens. It allows criminal networks to infiltrate institutions, and yet still claims it has things under control. Scholars describe the phenomenon of narcotics-terrorism in Mexico as the convergence of powerful criminal organizations and weak state oversight. Meanwhile, everyday people are living with the consequences—kids who can’t go to school, families fleeing their homes, and communities where fear is normal. Recent reports show 20 bodies found at once, decapitations, blockades, schools shut down—all signs that the government’s strategy is broken.

I go through:

What Decoy Voice gets right—how the state’s legitimacy is being eroded, how ordinary citizens are forced into protest because the system isn’t working.

Where I believe change is possible—and why supporting the protesters (so long as they remain non-violent) is crucial for meaningful reform.

Why the government’s response has to go beyond militarised strategies and must include accountability, transparency, and public investment in communities.

My message: If you stand for peace, justice, and hearing the voices of the people, you’re not just “pro-protest”—you’re pro-human-rights. This isn’t about chaos, it’s about dignity.

If this is a topic you care about—human rights, political reform, societies under pressure—please like, subscribe, and hit the bell. I’d also love to hear from you: what do you think is the single most urgent reform the Mexican government must make? Drop a comment below.
