QURAN VERSES AGAINST TERRORISM AND HARMING INNOCENTS

Killing one innocent life = killing all humanity
Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32
“Whoever kills a soul—unless for a just cause—it is as if he has killed all mankind; and whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved all mankind.”

This is the strongest anti-terror verse.

Allah does NOT love aggressors
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:190
“Fight only those who fight you, but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not love the transgressors.”

Islam forbids aggression and terrorism.

Do not betray, do not kill non-combatants
Surah Anfal 8:61
“If they incline to peace, then you also incline to peace.”

Islam promotes peace whenever possible.

Never spread corruption or fear
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:205
“And Allah does not like corrupters.”

“Terror” = spreading corruption, fear, chaos.

Protect places of worship and people of all faiths
Surah Al-Hajj 22:40
“… monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques—where Allah’s name is mentioned much—would have been destroyed.”

Islam protects ALL religious places.

Justice must be for ALL, even if against yourself
Surah An-Nisa 4:135
“Stand firm for justice… even if against yourselves.”

Terrorism breaks justice completely.

Killing believers or civilians intentionally = Hell
Surah An-Nisa 4:93
“Whoever kills a believer intentionally—his reward is Hell…”

This includes killing innocent Muslims.

SAHIH HADITHS AGAINST TERRORISM AND VIOLENCE

Prophet absolutely forbade killing women, children, and civilians
Sahih Bukhari and Muslim
“Do not kill women, children, monks, elderly, or workers in the fields.”

Clear prohibition of terrorism.

No harming and no reciprocating harm
Hadith: La darar wa la dirar
“There shall be no harming and no reciprocating harm.”
(Recorded in Ibn Majah)

Terrorism = maximum harm.

Prophet forbade mutilation, torture, and brutality
Sahih Muslim
“Do not commit mutilation.”

Entering a battlefield dishonestly is forbidden
Sahih Muslim
“Do not betray, do not be treacherous.”

Terrorism = betrayal and treachery.

A true Muslim does not terrorize people
Sunan al-Nasa’i
“The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands others are safe.”

If people fear you, you are not following Islam.

Threatening someone for no reason is prohibited
Sahih Bukhari
“None of you should point a weapon at his brother.”

Even as a joke—completely forbidden.

Prophet condemned all acts of terror
Abu Dawud
“It is not lawful for a Muslim to frighten another Muslim.”

Terrorism is frightening entire populations.
