MZTV 1868: When a Teacher Refuses Criticism

In this video I look at verses containing the word "grace" where the word "joy" could not possibly be substituted. If "joy" doesn't work in one place, it doesn't work ANY place—no matter how "fun" and "exciting" and "wow" it might make us feel in certain contexts.

Clyde doesn't listen to me anymore. Eleven years ago he told me he was no longer reading any of my critical emails. In fact, he was automatically sending my emails into something called the "agitator file"—or something like that. He was done with me.

This was on his end, not mine. I could see where he was making mistakes, but he didn't want to hear it—any of it. This, in spite of the fact that this man once called me, "the greatest evangelist I know."

What happens when a man refuses criticism? He goes from being a teacher to a kind of despot. Maybe Clyde can take correction from others—I don't know. He certainly won't take it from me. So could someone of his circle please tell him:

-- the word family of a Greek word does not define that word
-- Paul revealed several secrets before writing Ephesians and Colossians
-- family members "hallowed" by a believer do not thereby inherit eonian life
-- metaphors cannot be extended beyond a single point of contact
-- fellowship is based on doctrine, not behavior---many atheists behave
-- in 1 Corinthians 15:22, "dying" is the incomplete, not the complete verb form
-- at the flood of Noah, "all the lofty mountains under the entire
heavens were covered"
-- getting married and having children is not the epitome of spiritual life
-- the era is limited (1 Corinthians 7:9) not unlimited
-- any letter to which Paul affixes his name is to the body of Christ

For now, will Steve Martin and Clyde Pilkington, if they have any Scriptural integrity left at all, kindly—for the sake of seekers—delete their videos where they redefine "grace" as "joy," causing innocent seekers to abandon one of the greatest spiritual truths known to humanity, namely, that grace is the unmerited favor of God whereby humanity is saved.
