The "Christianity was just accidental" objection doesn't hold up under scrutiny. Joseph Needham, a leading British scientist and historian, spent his entire career examining why China—with its superior technology—never developed a full scientific revolution. His conclusion, supported by other historians: the absence of a Christian doctrine of creation. China had the tools and the intellect, but lacked the theological framework that legitimized investigating nature as God's creation. The counterfactual evidence is compelling.
