A viral video features six Democratic lawmakers who are veterans of the military or intelligence community urging U.S. service members to refuse illegal orders from commanders. The video, posted on X by Senator Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., includes appearances by Senator Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., and Representatives Jason Crow, D-Colo., Maggie Goodlander, D-N.H., Chris Deluzio, D-Pa., and Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa.. In the clip, they state, “You can refuse illegal orders… you must refuse illegal orders,” emphasizing that no one has to carry out orders that violate the law or the Constitution.
