Posted • November 20, 2025: Spencer Lofranco, a Canadian actor who starred in "Gotti" and "Jamesy Boy," died Tuesday. He was 33. […] Lofranco was best known for his starring role in "Gotti" where he played John A. beside John Travolta's main character John Gotti. The 2018 movie is a rated R crime-thriller based on the Gambino crime family in New York City. He also played Harry Brooks in "Unbroken," a 2014 World War II movie directed by Angelina Jolie. Lofranco, son to a lawyer father and model and actress mother, began acting when he was 13 years old, according to his IMDb. His first on-screen credit was in the 2013 rom-com "At Middleton," and he decided to pursue acting at 17 instead of becoming a hockey player or lawyer like his father wanted, he said in a 2014 interview with Interview Magazine. He attended the New York Film Academy for a year before landing the leading role in "Jamesy Boy," a movie about a young gang member turning his life around in prison. Officials are investigating his death and no cause has been announced at this time. No additional information is currently known.
