Klay Thompson Calls Out Beverley and Williams For Megan Thee Stallion Comments On Podcast

Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson isn’t staying silent when it comes to defending his girlfriend, Megan Thee Stallion.
Thompson recently pushed back at former NBA players Patrick Beverley and Jason Williams after they suggested that his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion was hurting his performance. Both used an explicit term while discussing her, which Thompson called “disgusting and disturbing.”
Responding on Instagram to a clip from the Hoopin' N Hollerin' podcast, Thompson criticized their comments, asking how they would feel if someone referred to their wives that way. “Do better, fellas,” he added.
Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion confirmed their relationship earlier in 2025, after fans noticed him in the background of one of her social media posts. They soon made a red carpet appearance together, and she has since been spotted courtside supporting him at Mavericks games.
On the court, Thompson is struggling in his second season with Dallas. After signing a three-year contract in 2024, he’s averaging just 8.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists, shooting only 32% from the field and 28.9% from three — all well below his career norms. With only 11 games played so far, he has time to rebound, but continued poor performance could cost him his starting spot.
Before joining the Mavericks, Thompson spent 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, winning four championships and making five All-Star appearances.
