CROWDS MARCH FOR SUDAN

On November 8, 2025, thousands of people marched for Sudan across central London to show support for their brothers and sisters across Sudan. 

This demonstration took place in response to the violent events that unfolded across El-Fasher on 26 October 2025, as videos circulated online of what appeared to be militia representing the Rapid Support Forces indiscriminately killing innocent civilians. According to the Sudan Doctor Network, at least 1,500 people were killed. That said, many political analysts argue that the casualty figure could be as high as 2,500.

Throughout the demonstration, protesters demanded for external powers to "get out of Africa" as they marched to the embassy belonging to the United Arab Emirates, holding this Arab regime accountable for the role played in assisting the Rapid Support Forces.

Tom Perriello, a former U.S. envoy, found that at least 150,000 people across Sudan had been killed by 2024, a total figure that is expected to be much higher today.

According to reports published by the United Nations (as of late 2024 and early 2025), over 14 million people across the country have been forcibly displaced, and more than 30 million people are in direct need of assistance.

With 90% of Sudan’s 19 million school-aged children lacking access to formal education, Sudanese communities across the West are enraged by the fact that particular actors and organisations whose role in facilitating and benefitting from Sudan's genocide is well documented have not been held effectively accountable.
