RIVERSIDE STROLL

We live in Sumter Forest, just a stone’s throw from the mighty Savannah River. Every so often, Cathy and I wander down the old railroad line—now reborn as the Savannah River Railroad Trail, a nature path that stretches from the edge of our estate all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, nearly 300 miles east.
Sometimes we trek into Augusta and mosey along the famous Riverwalk, soaking in the quiet magic of the water and the whispers of history. Naturally, I’ve written poetry about these strolls—and this song was born from one of those verses.
It’s a riverside memory, set to music. This project and all hence forth are dedicated to Dr. Toishi Sharma, MD.
