The Sacred Seventh: A Reflection on Sabbath Rest

In the beginning, the Creator fashioned the heavens and the earth in six days, and on the Seventh day, He rested, sanctifying it as a Holy time for reflection and renewal. The number 7, representing Completion and divine Perfection, resonates throughout Scripture, symbolizing GoD’s covenant with His creation.

In gematria, the Hebrew letter ז (Zayin), which corresponds to the number 7, signifies a Sword or a tool, representing the Power and Authority of rest in GoD. Just as a Sword is used for both protection and warfare, the Sabbath serves as a Shield for our souls, a time of Peace amid the chaos of daily life.

This concept beautifully aligns with Ephesians 6:17, where Paul instructs us to "take the helmet of salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of GoD" The Sabbath is not merely a day of rest; it is a time to wield the Sword of the Word, allowing Scripture to penetrate our hearts and minds. In the stillness of the Sabbath, we equip ourselves with the Truth of GoD’s promises, fortifying our Spirits against the battles we face.

As it is written in Exodus 20:8-11 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it, you shall not do any work..."

Let us honor the Sacred Seventh, embracing the rest that God offers, allowing our spirits to be rejuvenated and our hearts to be aligned with His Will. In this divine pause, we find not only rest but also a deeper connection to the Creator, reflecting on His Goodness and Grace.🙏♥️🔥♥️🙏
