We are going watch Babylon Fall and God’s Great Kingdom Rise. What a privilege to be living in the day in age.

The end of an era. An evil era, where for some life meant death for of the Huemans.

Having worked in a color blind society. That society, where respect is all they have left. I am speaking of people who are generationally poor. And many times with bouts of homelessness which punctuates their for all their lives’ for years. There is no shame in being poor. Been there; done that?!

Their grandparents were poor, living off of the dole of the State. In turn their parents were of the same warp and woof. Their children and even children of 15 or 16 years are parents themselves

It is a way of life for these tight knit families passing down the trade craft of how to receive benefits in the maximum amount.

I once knew a young couple of 19 years of age. Both of their Mothers’ had conspired against them.
On the occasion of their birthdays. Both Mothers’ pushed their children into a bedroom. Then told them to take off their clothes.

By the time they were 19 years of age they had had five children. She had been pregnant nearly a third of her life; as so she had multiple physical problems which gave her much pain and a face which depicted that misery and pain.

He had no discernible trade or no way to make money except day laborers. He would never be able to provide for his family. He professed to have “a call to the ministry.” I would never limit what God may do with a man willing to let God have full sway in his life.

I also understand a man must have a few ‘gifts and graces’ with which God may cultivate. His educational gifts were slow at best and he didn’t want pursue any gainful employment as it may ‘mess up’ his check. Plus his wife needed help at home; and that was a true statement!

I’ve heard it said, if someone is from a generationally poor home. If they get the wild idea to go to college. The entire family will shun them, ridicule them ‘as trying to look smart and better off than everyone else in the family’. If the picture of a boiling pot of crabs comes to mind. The impression is true. One crab pulling another back into the boiling water. Until no one escapes.

There are also people, once in the bind of having to receive (SNAP) food stamps, or any benefits will feel ashamed. They are people who have landed themselves in ‘situational poverty’. An event beyond their control has landed them on their backsides. Something beyond their control has overtaken them.
They will not allow you to take their pride from them. They will thank you profusely and then you’ll never see them again.

There is yet a third group who may have done well during their working lives; but now they are retired. Children may have moved away.

Be a son or a daughter to a Mother, to a Father who needs a companion to go to lunch. Someone to share a cup of coffee or tea. Someone to to OCCASIONALLY take them to a doctor’s appointment.

With BOUNDARIES!
If you don’t know what boundaries are, then don’t start until you understand boundaries.

We are quickly moving into the HUEMANITARIAN AGE.

Everyone will be in the business of helping our neighbor. If you’re not working as a slave to the corporations. It will feel good to serve others with a purpose.
