A culture of compromise refers to a society or environment where moral, spiritual, and biblical standards are lowered in order to fit, avoid, conflict, to be accepted, and so forth. In short, it’s when God’s truth is negotiated away to align with the world’s standards.

On today's program of Livin' For Christ, Rihanna tackles the important issue of building others up. We are encouraged to go out and spread the Gospel and one way we do this is through words. There are many times in life we have to build others up, they get down as life gets more complicated, and we build others up through words.

To live a purposeful life for Jesus Christ means that your entire life — your identity, actions, relationships, decisions, and desires — are centered around Him and His mission. It's a life where Christ is not just part of your life, He is your life. This may not be easy to do in a secular world but as Christians, we are to embrace Jesus Christ in whatever situation we find ourselves: “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

To be battle ready in a biblical and spiritual sense means being spiritually prepared to face trials, temptations, and opposition, both in the physical and spiritual realms. The concept is deeply biblical, especially in passages that speak about spiritual warfare and preparation. "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." -Ephesians 6:11-13

Jesus Christ is often referred to as "the Rock", both symbolically and theologically. This imagery speaks of His strength, stability, faithfulness, and the fact that He is the foundation of our faith and salvation. Jesus Christ is the Rock — the unshakable foundation of salvation, the source of spiritual life, and the secure refuge for all who trust in Him.

The battles and fights that we find ourselves in are more spiritual in nature than physical. While the world does become more secular and there is a falling away from God all across the world, the enemy is not humanity which is why our battles are won in prayer, time with God, but too many forget this fact and rather than involving God, they try to fight on their own. Satan has been doing this a lot longer which is why we must remain in the spirit and allow the Lord to fight for us.

Despite the amounts of advancements and innovations in technology and nearly every other aspect of life, there is much confusion about. There are many avenues and alternatives when discussing just about any topic of discussion and while this can be a positive thing, it can also lead to much confusion. This is especially true for Christians. Christians have the Word of God to lead and guide them in the ways they should go but too many look to the world for answers rather than God Himself and this leads to nothing good.

The truth is, we only control so much. Unfortunately, too many people allow the situations, or the outcome, to control them which does not add but takes away. The best thing to do is to control what you can and let God take care of the rest.

There are many great things to possess in this life and there are many fun things to be a part of but one of the finest things that could be said of you is you possess Godly Character. While we live on this Earth, Godly Character is a must have when Livin' For Christ.

Regardless who you are or where you are on this Earth, patience is a real virtue. Patience is a trait that is needed to excel at life and to achieve whatever goals you have but while you are waiting, it is important to serve the Master and to serve others. Service is the ultimate prize when Livin' For Christ.

In a world that offers so much chaos and confusion, it it easy to understand why so many suffer with an identity crisis. When we are livin' for Christ and seeking after the ways of God, our identity is locked and secured in Christ as well as our salvation.

There is an age long discussion and debate about what morality is. Faith is the belief in something and the only way for a Christian to receive the ultimate prize of Heavenly eternity is faith in Jesus Christ. It is this faith in Christ that allows us to be moral and we accomplish this by Livin' For Christ.

No matter what we do on Earth, it will never be enough. It will never be enough for so many people, for your job, or for any materialist or individualist achieve you're after. If you try to get to Heaven based on your merits or by doing enough, you'll never get there. We all fall short but through Christ, by Livin' For Christ, we are justified by faith. This is the only way Home.

Without question, living for Christ can be difficult in a secular world. Many of our friends and family members are not of the same Christian faith and this can put some pressure on the Christian to succumb to the ways of this world but we must do our best to withstand the pressure and continue Livin' For Christ.

Each of us will fight battles in our lives and when we are fighting battles, whether physical or spiritual or both, we have to do our best to do what we can and give the rest to God. When we are Livin' For Christ, the smart thing to do is Waiting On The Lord.

One of the hardest things to do on Earth regardless of who you are is waiting. Waiting is difficult but when we are able to wait on what we desire, we gain strength, wisdom, and patience and patience is a must when Livin' For Christ.

It is very easy to get down on yourself in this life, particularly if you are not Livin' For Christ, but even when Livin' For Christ in a secular world, discouragement is easy to find and despair is a real state. However, when a person is Livin' For Christ, the have renewed hope because their foundation is not built on the opinions and perspectives of this world but that of Jesus Christ.
