A buddy of mine who works with some of the doggies can get in & hang out with some of the doggies in their kennels. Toby has a bunch of chew toys in his kennel, so it was nice to see Toby & my buddy pick up & play with some of the toys. My buddy stopped giving doggie snacks and playing with Toby for a second and I guess Toby didn't like my buddy not interacting with him anymore and Toby started barking at me. It pissed Toby off, so he was barking at me😊 Anyway, I came back to Toby a little later & Toby didn't bark at me because my buddy was staying somewhat focused on feeding & playing with Toby so Toby did not feel ignored. I was super pleased at how comfortable Toby was with my buddy petting him all over his body & pretty much handling him in a free manner. It's nice to see some of the long stay doggies opening up and having a good time with the people who work at HSSAZ shelter.
