Ousman Camara submitted more than 300,000 fake meal claims for feeding children, stealing over a million dollars from taxpayers

He claimed to feed 1,000 kids per day, 7 days a week, at his tiny store

He bribed an NGO worker to approve the claims who fled back to Somalia

Instead of buying food, Camara allegedly used over $1 million for personal luxuries, including:

- Paying off credit card bills.
- Wiring more than $100,000 overseas (including a $90,000 transfer to Hong Kong).
- Spending over $200,000 to purchase the building housing his store, ensuring long-term control (“If I own this building… nobody can kick me out. It’s mine,” as quoted in reports).
- Paying approximately $87,000 in bribes (kickbacks) to a Feeding Our Future employee for sponsorship and approval of the fake claims.

The Feeding Our Future employee who received Camara’s alleged $87,000 in bribes has also been charged but fled to Somalia before the first wave of indictment
