Schizophrenia and Society, Part 1

Prompted by recent calls for bringing back the state mental hospitals with their coerced psychiatry care and for more mental health care, I wanted to begin to address one of the worst supposed mental illnesses there is: schizophrenia. My primary focus in this video is to address the clear and immediate problems with how the condition is diagnosed and treated.
