COP30 Disrupted by Fire in Final Hours

The venue of the UN’s COP30 climate conference in Belém, Brazil was evacuated after a fire broke out in the pavilion zone. Organizers say the blaze was controlled in six minutes and 13 people received treatment for smoke inhalation. The talks, at their crucial final stage, are now disrupted. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
