I Just Lost a Huge Pot vs. Josh Arieh

Cutoff raise, button flat, and we’re heads-up to a tricky board. I flop top pair, top kicker, but instead of slow-playing it, I take the aggressive line and raise Josh Arieh's 1/3-pot stab. Looking back, a bigger sizing might have offered better protection out of position.

The turn jack puts pressure on my range, and Josh fires again. I call and we head to a river that pairs the board.

Tough spot out of position, and a great example of how thin value and protection bets matter in tournament poker.

How would you play top pair here?
