Assassin's Creed Shadows - Drawing Fighting Hares

The flute’s melody still lingered in the air, fading slowly like the last ripples of a stone cast upon still water. My spirit felt lighter, my breath calmer. But the world, in its curious way, always reminds us that peace and struggle are never far apart. Ahead, in a patch of tall grass, two small hares danced and fought—each strike and leap a perfect reflection of nature’s eternal conflict. Their fur shimmered in the light, and yet their battle was fierce, primal, determined.

I stopped to watch, the corners of my mouth lifting into a rare smile. Their quarrel was almost comical, and yet I could not help but see myself within it. Their fight was not born of malice but instinct—a drive to survive, to claim, to prove. How different was I from them? My blades may be sharper, my cause grander, but beneath it all, I too was just another creature of the earth, locked in battles I did not choose but could not ignore.

The hares darted apart, their brief war ending in a burst of motion and silence. I stood there, reflecting on what the world had shown me. Perhaps the gods speak not through thunder or omen, but through moments such as this—two small beings locked in struggle, reminding me that even within conflict, there is life, humor, and purpose. Nature had spoken again, and I understood.

One must fight—but never forget to see the beauty in the battle.
