God is good all the time 1476: Can you be a Christian without following Christ?

That is the question. Can you truly be a christian if you are not following Christ. There are those that are saying things like God is love and God loves everybody. BUT, these people are living something else or saying things that don't agree with the message of Christ; so are they Christians?
