Elon Musk Envisions a Future Where Money Stops Mattering

Elon Musk reignited the tech debate by stating that if the advancement of artificial intelligence and robotics continues at its current pace — something he considers highly likely — money could eventually become irrelevant.

According to Musk, automation will become so advanced that most material needs will be met without traditional monetary exchange. However, he warned that certain limits will remain unavoidable: the availability of energy, especially electricity, and the fundamental constraints of physics.

For Musk, the question is no longer if currency will lose its value, but when it will happen.
