The narrative that science always undermines faith is historically inaccurate. The Big Bang theory is a perfect example. When Bertrand Russell debated Frederick Coplestone after WWII, Russell confidently argued the universe had always existed—making a Creator unnecessary. Twenty years later, the Big Bang became accepted scientific consensus, vindicating Coplestone's position that the universe had a beginning. Science doesn't move in one direction. It evolves in complex ways, sometimes toward faith, sometimes away from it.
