Retro Game Players 08 - Battletoads

Battletoads on the NES. Now it's a great in fact it was one of the most memorable games in the NES library. The game was still good in its own way, but it's just mostly known as one of the most difficult video games ever made.

There are 3 battletoads Rash, Zitz and Pimple but you don't play as Pimple because he and Princess Angelica have been kidnapped by the Dark Queen and you have to go rescue them.

On to the game you can play 1 - 2 player and you just bash and smash the crap outta of enemies. You can ram them, you can kick them, So much fun. Whenever you pause the game, you also get a catchy beat. 2 Player is a bitch because the players can hit each other and screw the other player.

It's a great game and exciting in a way but when you get to level 3 then you're totally screwed. The turbo tunnels can screw the player over and it's very, very, VERY DIFFICULT!!!!! This was actually one of the most difficult stages in video game history in it prevented players from knowing the game had more than 3 levels. I still remember as a kid that some other kid got jealous and surprised at me because I was one of those rare kids back then that can actually beat level 3 in battletoads.

Still Battletoads was a great game and it was one of the best games that came out in 1991 the same year that Super Nintendo Came out. Eun-Ji got so happy for me because I told her about being a kid that I can actually get pass level 3. :-)
